Terms and conditions for cycle training

All of our training is delivered subject to the following terms and conditions. It is important that you read them carefully. We have tried to keep them as short and simple as possible. Please ask us if you have any questions or concerns.

Definitions

The term ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to Terrene Trading Limited, trading as Wobble Cycling.  The term ‘you’ refers to the person being trained, or their parent/guardian for children. The term ‘instructor’ refers to the person leading your training.

General

  1. You must read, understand and agree with these terms and conditions.
  2. All personal information you provide to us will be managed according to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms and conditions.

Before your training

  1. You must complete a pre-course self-assessment of your existing skills and experience via an online questionnaire. We will use this information to develop a tailored training package appropriate for your individual needs.
  2. You must be sufficiently fit and able to complete the training. Before your training begins, you must provide us with information about any medical condition that may affect your training and who we should contact in the event of an emergency.

During and after your training

  1. You must provide an appropriate cycle that is roadworthy (unless we have agreed to provide you with a cycle for the duration of the training). It is your responsibility to ensure that the cycle is roadworthy, but the instructors may refuse to proceed with training if they deem it unsafe (in which case no refund will be offered on the course fee). Instructors may assist you with minor repairs and adjustments but are not under an obligation to do so.
  2. You must come equipped with clothing and equipment appropriate to the conditions on the day of the training. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are appropriately dressed and equipped, but the instructors may refuse to proceed with training if they deem it unsafe (in which case no refund will be offered on the course fee).
  3. You should expect that training will continue in most weather conditions, but we reserve the right halt training if the instructor deems the conditions unsafe. In this event, the training will be rescheduled at no additional cost to you. However, if the instructor stops the training because they consider you not to be equipped for reasonably foreseeable weather conditions, an additional charge may be made to reschedule training.
  4. It is your choice whether to wear a helmet during your training. Helmets may offer some protection from injury under certain circumstances. If you choose to wear a helmet, it is your responsibility to provide one that conforms to one of the following standards: BS6863, AS2063.86, ANSIZ90.4, SNELL B90 or B95, and to ensure that it is fitted correctly. You will be responsible for any injury that may occur as a consequence of wearing, or not wearing, a helmet.
  5. We reserve the right to halt the training if the instructor considers that your existing skills are not sufficient to complete the training that has been planned. Your instructor will discuss with you how the training can be altered to make it appropriate for your existing skill level. If possible, the training will then continue, but it may be necessary to reschedule or change location.
  6. We reserve the right to terminate the training at any time if you behave in a way that the instructor considers inappropriate (in which case no refund will be offered on the course fee).
  7. You accept that completion of your training does not mean you necessarily have the skills or experience to cycle proficiently under all conditions.
  8. We will provide oral feedback on your progress throughout your training, and written feedback on completion (including areas where you may benefit from additional training).

Liability

  1. You accept that we are not responsible for any injury or any loss or damage to any property occurring before, during or after your training, which is not caused by an instructor’s negligence.

Publicity photographs

  1. We may take photographs of you during your training and use these for publicity purposes, but we will always get your written permission first.

Cancellation

  1. You may cancel your training and receive a full refund if you tell us at least 7 days in advance. A 50% refund will be issued in the event of later cancellation.
  2. You may reschedule your training with no additional charge if you tell us at least 7 days in advance. If we agree to reschedule with shorter notice, there will be an additional fee payable of 50% of the training cost.
  3. If we cancel your training, we will agree an alternative date with you or give you a full refund. We will aim to tell you least 7 days in advance, but this may not always be possible (for example, in the event of instructor illness or extreme weather). We will not be liable for any loss, financial or otherwise, resulting from cancelling your training.

Complaints

  1. We sincerely hope our training will exceed your expectations. If you do have any complaints or concerns, please raise them with your instructor. If you are not satisfied with their response, please email hello@wobblecycling.co.uk. We will aim to resolve your complaint within 10 working days.
